Liliana Oprea Arnett is such a little miracle! Cherished Children was blessed with the opportunity to place this special needs child from Romania. Through much hard work and prayer, Lili arrived home on October 22. Due to health concerns, her prognosis if left in Romania was bleak. Through God's help we were able to get her out. Had the final decision been one day later, she would still be in a Romanian orphanage today, despite the fact that she was termed an emergency special needs case and was repartitioned prior to the current moratorium. We would like to take this opportunity to praise God for this blessing and to welcome Lili home!

A note from Blake & Lynn Arnett:
We are very blessed to have been chosen by God to parent Liliana. Two hundred agencies were contacted by the foundation in Romania in order to find a home for her. Of all two hundred agencies, ONLY Cherished Children responded saying that they would find a family for Liliana. If not for Steve and Lynn's sensitive hearts, Lili might very well be still sitting in her crib in the orphanage. We have a long road ahead of us. She has many challenges to overcome, but with love and the grace already given to her from God, she will make it. We would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Steve, Lynn, Anna and Becky for all of their help. We would also like to thank Vickie West, Mary Lou Barella, Amy Couts, Senator Evan Bayh and Karen from Senator Bayh's office. All of these people worked quickly to ensure than Liliana could come home. We also are truly grateful for all of the prayers that were said for us and for Lili. |
